World Health Organization says: Each year an estimated 684 000 individuals die from falls globally

In 2017, 54 000 older adults (older 70) in the Western
Europe died due to falls.

In 2017, the total burden of fall-related injuries was 1.4
million DALYs

According to World Health Organization, in 2017, the global population aged 60 years or over was around 962 millionand is projected to reach about 2.1 billion in 2050.

Imbalance has been shown to cause a 3-fold increased risk of falling.

THERE ARE SOME RULES TO PREVENT FALLS:

Stay physically active.

Have your eyes and hearing tested

Find out about the side effects of any medicine you take

Get enough sleep.

Limit the amount of alcohol you drink

Be very careful when walking on wet or icy surfaces.

Wear non-skid, rubber-soled, low-heeled shoes, or lace-up shoes with non-skid soles that fully support your feet

Always tell your doctor if you have fallen since your last checkup, even if you aren’t hurt when you fall.

Stand up slowly.

Use an assistive device if you need help feeling steady when you walk.

THE TECHNOLOGY IS BASED ON A COMPUTERIZED STABILOMETRY APPROACH.

Application of these technologies allows a person to select a walking aid that fits exactly to the person.
The walking aid, selected in this way will show the maximum level of sustainability indicators.

Correctly selected walking aids allow patient to prevent falls and to improve the quality of live, his social
mobility and rehabilitation results.

Our complex is intended to solve the problem of objective selection of walking aids. Method is used to
decrease number of falls and to pursue rehabilitation goals for people with balance disorder.

The method of walking aid selection in dynamic is still being developed by our team. Please join our
